Lifestyle transitions inspired the reconfiguration of this long suburban home. The desired outcome separating the home into two distinct structures;  returning the original Victorian house to its original condition at the street, while adding a camouflaged cottage at the far back of the long narrow lot

Conceived as a hidden retreat, the back house is bound in wire mesh supporting green growth on all four exterior walls. This became provisional for final sign-off from the local planning department. The new structure, thoughtfully situated, is imagined to be nearly invisible within the confinement of neighboring structures and mature trees
